Brazilian IP for Globoplay
If you’re Brazilian and live abroad, Globoplay will sell you its international plan, but not the one with live TV Globo. That plan works only in Brazil, which is what this location is for.

Globoplay and Valve in Brazil
Globoplay. Outside Brazil, Globoplay sells an international plan with live feeds such as TV Globo Internacional, GloboNews and SporTV. Live TV Globo with its regional stations comes only with the plan that’s bought and watched in Brazil, so you need a Brazilian IP for it. Globoplay can still block the connection if it detects a data-centre IP.
Valve’s São Paulo site. It’s where Brazilian matches are played, so pick Brazil to join friends from there. The gaming page covers the rest of what goes into ping.
Brazil in the app
In Search, type “Braz”, or the first letters of Brazil as your app spells it. One tile is left, and tapping it connects you. After two connections in a month, Brazil also shows up in Favorites, next to Search.

Globoplay accounts and South America
Does the location on my Globoplay account matter?
For live TV Globo, yes. Globo streams live only to accounts whose location falls inside the coverage of one of its 115 affiliates. With no location set, or one outside those areas, the live feature switches off.
What about friends in Argentina, Chile or Peru?
Valve’s other South American sites are in Buenos Aires, Santiago and Lima, and all three countries have a tile in the Bebra grid. Pick the one your friends play from.
