A Dutch IP address
Dutch public TV is what this address is for, since NPO Plus stops working at the edge of the European Economic Area.

NPO abroad, and Valve in Amsterdam
NPO Start outside Europe. NPO sells NPO Plus only to people who live in the Netherlands. Its terms let subscribers keep watching anywhere in the EEA, which is the EU plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein, and nowhere else. On a trip to Thailand or Canada, the Dutch tile makes NPO Start see a viewer at home. NPO can still tell a data-centre IP from a home connection and refuse the stream.
Valve matches. Amsterdam has a Valve site for CS2 and Dota 2, handy when your team or friends play from the Netherlands. How a VPN affects ping in general is on the games page.
VALORANT. Riot has no Amsterdam server. Its European list runs from London and Frankfurt to Madrid and Bahrain, and you pick the server inside the game.
Finding the tile
The tile carries the official name, so typing “Holland” leaves the grid empty. Type “Neth” and tap Netherlands.
NPO Start and NPO Plus
NPO Start won’t play a programme on the Dutch tile
NPO has probably flagged the IP as a data-centre one. Find working server, under Account → Settings, fetches a fresh address.
Does NPO Plus work in Switzerland or the UK?
No. NPO lets subscribers watch only inside the EEA, and neither country is part of it. On a trip there, the Dutch tile covers the gap, as long as NPO doesn’t recognise the server.
